DR TARA HILLIER

Tara completed a medical degree at UNDF in Perth, graduating with honours, and has been living in Townsville for the last 8 years with her husband and two children. She has experience as a Registered Nurse, specialising in paediatrics.
Tara's interests include women’s health and family health, especially pregnancy care, chronic disease management and a true love of paediatric medicine. She held a Specialist role in Antenatal Clinic in Townsville prior to her move to Canberra. She also has a passion for veterans’ health and is part of the defence community herself. Tara has also spent a lot of time teaching GP Registrars and medical students.
Tara is qualified to provide cosmetic consultations and injectables.

DR JANE FOLEY

Dr Jane Foley grew up in Canberra and completed her medical training in Melbourne before returning to her hometown to practice medicine. She enjoys all aspects of general practice, with a particular interest in women’s health, including menopause and subfertility. Jane is experienced in IUD and Implanon insertion and is passionate about supporting women through various stages of their health journey.
Jane also has a keen interest in preventative care, chronic disease management, and rural health, and works with the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Broken Hill, providing essential care to remote communities.
Outside of work, Jane loves to hit the slopes for some skiing or snowboarding, spend time outdoors in her garden, and relax with her two cats.

DR CAROLINE KHIN-CHEN

Caroline has been a GP at Wakefield Gardens for a number of years. Caroline participates in mentoring and teaching registrars at Wakefield Gardens Surgery.
Caroline is interested in helping a vast range of patients with their health needs, taking a personal and supportive role in their care. Caroline has two children that she is extremely proud of and supports them in achieving their life goals.
Caroline is fluent in both English and Burmese and has a special interest in preventative health, family health care and aged care.
Caroline has been a GP at Wakefield Gardens for a number of years. Caroline participates in mentoring and teaching registrars at Wakefield Gardens Surgery.

DR EMMA CUNNINGHAM

Emma is a mother to two gorgeous children and enjoys spending time with her husband family and watching her youngest perform in dance routines.
Emma completed her training in Rural NSW, looking after the local folks of Bombala and Cooma both in the GP rooms and in the emergency setting of the hospitals.
Areas of interest include paediatric health, palliative care, preventative health, family health, family planning.
Emma is a mother to two gorgeous children and enjoys spending time with her husband family and watching her youngest perform in dance routines.

Tina is a Canberra local who initially trained and worked in Canberra and regional NSW, most recently Cooma. During that time Tina regularly participated in medical student and GP Registrar supervision and teaching. Tina brings diverse rural skills and adapts them to our lovely family practice.
Tina loves to share her love for health care with the Doctors of the future. Tina is interested in all the different areas of general practice but also takes a special interest in women’s health, preventative health, and minor surgical procedures.
In her free time Tina is an avid skier and marathon runner and an amazing mother to her two children.

Jake grew up on the south coast of NSW. A varied career as Maritime Warfare Officer in the Royal Australian Navy saw Jake live and work all over Australia, but he has moved in and out of Canberra so often for study and work that he now calls Canberra his hometown. Jake was supported by the Navy in making a career change to medicine in 2020 and completed his medical studies at the University of Wollongong in 2023.
Jake spent his junior doctor years rotating through all the hospitals in the Canberra hospital network, with terms in the emergency department, orthopaedics, neurology, paediatrics, general medicine and rehabilitation. He is very excited to be joining the team at Wakefield Gardens and the Surgery at Manuka Terrace as a registrar and is looking forward to the diversity of General Practice.
In his free time Jake enjoys bush walking around Canberra with his young son, parkrun, and learning how to play disc golf.

DR LUCIANA MICHAEL

Dr Luciana Michael completed her medical degree in Malaysia in 2004 and has since worked extensively across various fields of medicine. After two years of pre-vocational training and four years of formal advanced clinical and surgical training in Ophthalmology, she was on track to pursue Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology (RANZCO) before moving to Canberra, which she now proudly calls home — along with a fulfilling career in General Practice.
Dr Michael enjoys all aspects of general practice and is known for her caring and kind approach to patient care.
Outside of work, she leads an active lifestyle and loves spending time in nature.
